Pediatric Psychiatry

Mission Children's Hospital offers the region's only designated inpatient facility for young psychiatric patients. We offer two units, one for children ages 4 to 11 (8 beds) and a separate one for adolescents ages 12 to 18 (9 beds). In our protective environment, children and young people suffering from severe emotional disturbances or mental illness receive intensive supervision, short-term help with medications, evaluation of additional medical problems and therapy.

Referrals to our services should be made by an outpatient provider or physician.
