Pediatric Nutrition and Weight Management Registered dietitians have the experience and education to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients and their families by providing individualized assessment, counseling and recommendations to assist in the treatment, management or prevention of acute or chronic disease. During the visits, we gather medical history, and review growth charts and current dietary intake to help determine the most beneficial nutrition plan for the patient and family. Dietitians with special certification in pediatric weight management issues and clinical nutrition support services offer assistance for patients with feeding disorders, cystic fibrosis, congenital heart defects and pediatric cancer.
