At Mission, we provide a collaborative approach to care, bringing together a team of physiatrists, imaging specialists, orthopedic spine surgeons, physical therapists and rehabilitation specialists to identify the cause of your pain and provide personalized care based on your specific needs. We welcome self-referrals, and work alongside referring physicians and other specialists to optimize treatment.

Expert Physiatrist Guided Treatment

At the Mission Health Spine Center, our experienced, fellowship-trained physiatrists are experts in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and serve on the front line of your care. Our physiatrists provide detailed consultations for patients suffering from neck or back pain to accurately diagnose the condition or injury and treat it efficiently and accurately. Our physiatrists are expert diagnosticians that utilize the latest advanced diagnostic procedures, including:

  • Electrodiagnosis EMG/nerve conduction studies
  • Nerve stimulation for localization
  • Interventional selective nerve root and peripheral nerve root blockade
  • Fluoroscopic guided diagnostic small and large joint injections of the spine and extremities
  • Ultrasound guided diagnostic bursa, joint, tendon, and muscle injections
  • Advanced MRI , CT, and ultrasound imaging

After the cause of your pain has been identified, our physiatrists oversee your care, initiating treatment, working with physical therapists and, if needed, neurologists, spine surgeons and other specialists. In addition, unique to the Mission Spine Center program, a team of Registered Nurse Navigators help with continuity of care and guidance throughout your specialized treatment plan and are available 5 days/week.
