Referrals Admission to Asheville Specialty Hospital occurs when a referral is made by a provider. Upon referral, a liaison will begin the patient evaluation. Asheville Specially Hospital accepts electronic referrals from a variety of hospitals. Once a referral has been made, a member of the Asheville Specialty Hospital Liaison Team will follow up accordingly. Should the patient meet the long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) criteria, the admission process will begin and coordination of transition to ASH will begin. Have a referral question?
