Some treatments could be as simple as a medication change, but in other, more complex situations, debridements, skin substitutes or hyperbaric oxygen therapy may be needed. The care team will work with you to develop a plan individualized to your needs and help you through the healing process.
Indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy:
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Chronic refractory osteomyelitis
- Soft tissue radionecrosis
- Osteoradionecrosis
- Compromised skin grafts/failed flaps
- Acute peripheral arterial insufficiency
- Acute traumatic peripheral ischemia
- Necrotizing soft tissue infections
- Crush injuries, compartment syndrome
- Complications of reattached extremity or body part
- Actinomycosis (refractory)
- Gas gangrene
- Air or gas embolism
- Carbon monoxide poisoning
- Cyanide poisoning
- Decompression sickness
